SEPTEMBER 12TH & 26
4:30 PM – 8:30PM
We are teaming up again with the Fruitbelt Farmworker Christian Ministry to reach out to some of the 2,500 migrant workers coming from Mexico, Jamaica, Haiti, Honduras and Guatemala to work in the orchards in Adams, Franklin and Cumberland Counties of Pennsylvania.
Twice a month In August, September and October, we will go to regional migrant camp to host a cook-out and pass out personal Care Kits.
On Tuesday the 12th at 4:30pm we’ll meet in the church parking lot for our third trip to a migrant camp in or around the Dillsburg area. We will host a cookout for the international laborers that come our region to help harvest apples and peaches. We will be home around 8:30pm.
We have six trips planned this year, so you still have time to join us in the adventure. And it is an adventure. In the coming months, as the weather cools, we will also be collecting gloves, hats and badly needed sweatshirts for the workers.
We also pass out Care Kits of personal hygiene supplies. The next packing event is tentatively scheduled for September 22nd. Please contact us at email@example.com with any and all questions about the trip or the Care Kit packing opportunity.
You can also serve by helping to assemble the personal Care Kits that will be collected at DRC. Please click here for more information.
