The Team 31 Prayer Partners

Have you ever desired to play a key role in the Kingdom of God? Have you ever wanted to see what God can do through you as you join God where He’s working? Would you like to see God make a significant impact through you? We invite you to be a part of our most important ministry: Prayer. We believe God leads us to pray into the things He has on His heart to accomplish, and gives us joy as we see Him act on those very things! We have 31 ways to pray for us, one for each day of the month. Here’s how it works, with 2 options to consider:

Option #1 – Use the list to pray for us each day. Print it up, fold it up and stick it in your Bible or tape it to the fridge. Any day you remember to pray will be a blessing and valued thing to us.

Option #2 – Pick one day of the month, one item on the list and commit to praying for that one thing. We need to find 31 people who are willing to pursue this option. We would like to encourage you to fast from lunch that day as a reminder to pray. (Fasting somehow empowers our prayers.)

If you sign on for this option, you will get an email once a month to both thank you and remind you. We may even be able to send you an occasional update on how we are doing in your area of prayer. If you like we can also assign a day to you, and that will help us to make sure the days get spread out evenly.

Please contact us at connect@deeprivers.church or call Matt at (717) 673-9205 if you have any questions or would like to be a part of our Team 31 Prayer Partners.

Why Are We So Serious About Prayer?

Some think we have a passion for prayer. I don’t know if that’s actually the case. What we do know is this: we are painfully aware of our own inability to accomplish anything for God of eternal value with our own strength, wisdom, and abilities.

Jesus said, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) We like to think He said this for a reason. The truth is, it may even be a bit counter-cultural to have this kind of heavy reliance on prayer. So be a rebel, pray with us.

Jesus also said, “My house will be a house of prayer…” (Luke 19:46). We like to think He said this for a reason as well. So, it only makes sense that a church that’s going to be serious about prayer should be planted and founded on prayer. Your prayers.

“Lord, teach us to pray…” was the request made to Jesus ( Luke 11:1). Not “teach us how to give a sermon,” “prepare a good bible study,” or “worship with a sincere heart.” Even the disciples (who, lets face it, were sometimes quite confused and clueless) saw the value in prayer.

Prayer is a forgotten basic of the faith. Prayer is foundational. Without a strong foundation, a building will have issues. The problem is foundations are hidden, out of sight, taken for granted, and not given much attention. Not our foundation. Not our building.

Prayer is the currency of the supernatural. If we want to see God do the amazing, life changing things, we need to deal in God’s currency – not ours. “Prayer in and of itself possesses no power. Prayer is powerful because God is powerful, and prayer is the means through which that divine power is released and channeled into our lives. In other words, all the power in prayer is really God’s power activated in prayer.” – Sam Storms

This is why we are so very serious about prayer.

Submit a Request

We take prayer seriously. It is the fuel God uses to work in this world. If you have a prayer request, please send it to connect@deeprivers.church. The information will be handled responsibly and sensitively. But you need to know, you will be prayed for by people you may or may not know. So please be as specific as you desire.
