The internet can be both a blessing and a curse. It’s been a destructive force in the lives of many. But it has also been used to spread the Gospel, make disciples, and help millions of people grow in their faith in countless ways.
Deep Rivers Church recently partnered with a fantastic resource, one that highlights the good that can come from the internet. RightNow Media is very much a “Christian Netflix.” It’s a HUGE library of faith-based videos that you can access whenever and wherever you want – on your phone, tablet, computer, or on your TV at home.
You now have free access to thousands of video resources to help you with parenting, marriage, discipleship, and more. It includes content for all ages and stages of life, and all of your family members are invited to set up their own accounts as well. Sign up using the link below and do some exploring.
We also have a plan on how to use it at Deep Rivers Church. In May we’re starting a video series called “Starting Points” by Andy Stanley. This is how it will work:
- 1st – You watch each week’s video anytime you like. Most are around 25 minutes.
- 2nd – Then every Thursday night at 7:00p.m., we’ll have a Zoom call to recap the video and have a short discussion. The Zoom session will last around 30-45 minutes.
There are 8 videos in the series, so after 4 weeks of discussing them together, we will encourage everyone to either:
Finish watching the series on their own.
OR
Continue watching and recapping the video each week with either a Zoom call, email contact, or phone call with someone else in the group for the remaining four weeks. (Guys with guys, gals with gals, couples with couples.)
Please join us. Admittingly, this is something of an experiment. Everyone is learning how to do church differently in this strange season. But this should be a lot of fun. You will be encouraged. You will be challenged. And you will stay connected.
